Had good and lovely location to the Oulton Broad South station, next door to Nicholas everitt park. What's more, it was just next door to Ipswich, the Crooked Barn restaurant and a footpath at the edge of Oulton Broad which provided a pleasant walk to the town.

Gorgeous restaurant setting, proximity to nature trails, beautiful grounds for events
Inconsistent room assignments. Communication issues with reception staff!!! The approach to the hotel could use better maintenance for smoother access!!! Soundproofing between rooms definitely needs improvement!!!

Excellent food and superb staff in peaceful and picturesque surroundings. Enjoyed the best home made scones ever and the thoughtful Easter gift on EasterSunday was a lovely touch.

Excellent food. Interesting medieval barn dining hall. Spacious rooms in courtyard layout.
Blue decor of the room I stayed in was not really to my taste.

Very quiet and relaxing environment yet close to the centre of Lowestoft. The staff also made you feel very welcome. The hotel is based on a lovely old farm with the ancient barn turned into an excellent restaurant. Pleasant walks down by the river are accessable directly from the hotel grounds.
The foam pillow I had in my room wasn't very clean. Otherwise the standard of cleanliness was very good. The doors to the rooms were in a country style which looked in keeping but mine was a poor fit so you could here people outside. Not a big problem as there weren't that many people about.

We go to recharge our batteries. It's very peaceful, the staff greet us as long lost relatives, and the food is beautifully cooked and presented.
